Immigrants' Rights & World Fair Trade Day March & Rally

March began at Chico City Hall, Rally at 20th Street Community Park
Immigrant rights and fair trade are the same issue. The Chico Peace and Justice Center joined together with the group Alliance Pro Immigrant Rights to make this connection. Fair Trade and Immigrants' Rights marched hand in hand as we seek basic human rights, decent working conditions, and fair pay for all.
Plus: The World's Largest Coffee Break started at noon at Community Park. We joined in a nation-wide toast to Fair Trade by sipping Fair Trade coffee or other Fair Trade beverages.
