As 300 people gathered, we recognized discrimination against the LGBT community and opposed the proposition to eliminate the freedom to marry. October 12th was also the 10th anniversary of the violent death of Matthew Shepard, killed only because of his sexual orientation. We rallied to oppose discrimination in the form of Proposition 8, which seeks to limit the freedom to marry.
