Often political leaders and others in the U.S. point the finger at human rights abuses elsewhere around the globe without looking at those rights violations in the United States. Sadly, these violations often occur within our borders or with our sanction: torturing at Guantanemo and Abu Ghraib, ignoring the needs of Katrina victims, physical and psychological abusing of the GLTB community, wiretapping, and abuses toward indigenous peoples, their land, and their natural resources.
Panelists included Tom Imhoff, Michael Coyle, Sue Hilderbrand, and others.
