6th Anniversary of the War in Iraq Start: 02/13/2009 3:04 am March 19th Details to follow Shocking to think we are almost in the 6th year of our military misadventures in Iraq. Thousands of American soldiers and families have been destroyed, not to mention the million or more killed, wounded and/or displaced Iraqis. Over a trillion dollars has been spent, and economists such as Joseph Stiglitz predict this war will cost over $3 trillion. How much death and destruction are we willing to accept? The "Beyond War, A New Economy is Possible" Campaign is in the process of planning for the unfortunate anniversary. We are working with the many ideas of how the resources fueling the US was machine can be redirected to promote the human condition and encourage spiritual growth.
