A standing-room only crowd atteneded the panel discussion moderated by Curtis Peldo (CSUC Department of Philosophy). Topics include “Why They Hate Us” (international anger directed at U. S. government policy); “Modern Civil War in the U.S. : The Violence and Harms of the Criminal Justice System”; “A Personal Account of Daily Suffering in Palestine ” and “Beyond War: A New Economy is Possible.”
Panelists included Mahan Mirza (CSUC Department of Religious Studies), Michael Coyle (CSUC Department of Political Science), Amro Jayousi (CSUC student) and Sue Hilderbrand (Butte College and Director, Chico Peace and Justice Center ).
This event was sponsored by the Peace Institute at CSUC and is free and open to the public.
