The documentary, "Delta Force," by Glenn Ellis was made in 1995, in response to the murder and execution of Ken Saro-Wiwa, an activist for MOSOP (Movement for the Survival of Ogoni People), who was falsely charged by the Nigerian government for murder. However, the truth of this story is a wake-up call to the methods and business ethics of oil companies such as the Royal-Dutch Shell oil company and many others who colluded with the corrupt Nigerian military government to secure their business interests at the cost of human lives and the environment. A group discussion followed the film.
Warning: Scenes of violence and disturbing images.
Donations will be accepted for the Center for Constitutional Rights and EarthRights International, who are putting the Shell oil company on trial in May 26th, 2009.
