Candlelight Vigil in Downtown Plaza
The Copenhagen climate change conference offers the world the opportunity to create meaningful, practical, climate-change treaty that is in the best interest of saving our planet--including mindfulness of fairness to developing nations and justice for industrial polluters. Fifty concerned Northstaters gathered at the Chico Peace and Justice Center and monitored the events of the week. We also joined activists all over the world in a candlelight vigil calling on the world’s leaders to make Copenhagen a turning point in the fight for a sustainable world.
