This community forum focused on the positive results and the disappointments from the recent Copenhagen Climate Change Conference. Community environmental leaders were on hand to lead a discussion of what can be done within the Northstate and globally to bring about climate change actions that are ambitions, fair, and binding. Plans for future local work was discussed.

Red Bluff Park of Study and Reflection

At the gathering of the World March for Peace and Nonviolence event in Red Bluff on December 2nd, it was decided that the community would meet again once the marched finished in Argentina to reunite, hear about the local marchers' experiences, and to see what future activities are in store. Five local activists also traveled to Argentina and had lots of stories and photos to share.

The Copenhagen Climate Change group attended the meeting of the Chico Sustainability Task Force at City Hall to learn more about the work of the Task Force. Then they met at CPJC to discuss actions and strategies to help make Chico a more sustainable community.

Becker is a noted writer and commentator on Middle East affairs. He has been a featured speaker at political forums and conferences in the United States and across the world. He is also the Western Regional Coordinator of ANSWER Coalition (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism) and a noted writer and commentator on Middle East affairs.
