Mad As Hell Doctors
The Mad As Hell Doctors (MAHD) followed up on their landmark 2009 National Tour across the United States with a similar tour through California, consisting of 26 rallies and town hall meetings from Arcata on September 23rd to the capitol in Sacramento and Chico on October 12th.
MAHD is a group of activist physicians and nurses, patient advocates and other health care providers who are fighting for a Single National Health Insurance Program for all Americans. Check out their website.
The event was jointly sponsored by: The CSU, Chico Peace Institute, Butte County Health Care Coalition/Health Care for All- California, Physicians for a National Health Program, Independent Living Services of Northern California, Paradise Ridge Democratic Club, Shalom Free Clinic, Chico Grange, League of Women Voters of Butte County, Democratic Action Club of Chico, and the Chico Peace and Justice Center.
