Many supporters of fair trade joined with the Chico Peace and Justice Center in thinking about alternatives to the Big Box store sales, where a high percentage of sale dollars to towards goods made abroad often under unhealthy and unsafe conditions.  We held our annual Fair Trade sale day, encouraging people to "Think Outside the Box," to purchase Fair Trade Goods, where workers get a fair wage, where child labor is prohibited, where manufacturers make contributions to their communities.
