PATHWAY TO PEACE: A Fundraiser for the Chico Peace and Justice Center

Saturday, March 19th, from 9:30 AM to noon (NOTE the new time).
Children's Park to MLK Park

The Chico Peace & Justice Center hosted this walk and fundraiser for peace and justice in our time.  Families and kids collected pledges in advance and completed a walk from  Children's Playground  to the Friends Meeting House (1601 Hemlock).

Walkers stopped at Peace Checkpoints along the way, and each participant  collected mementos of peace (stones, stickers, buttons) provided by the sponsors of the march.

RAIN UPDATE: The walk begins at 9:30.  We will end the walk at the Chico Friends Meetinghouse at E. 16th and Hemlock. Rally begings at noon.

Plaza Tablers - please set up under Dome stage if possible. Other Peace Checkpoints - please join us today at your regular location despite weather (Vigil, Plaza, CPJC, Trinity, CBI, Little Red Hen) but you decide. All Rally Tablers -set up at Chico Friends Meetinghouse-  at 10:30 am. Crossing Guards - Bring umbrellas in case of rain. For more information, call Diana at 342-8804.

Pathway to Peace 2011  - How to Gather Donations

Canvas neighborhoods.  Ask family members, teachers, friends to sponsor you on this walk.

Begin by asking for $10 for the walk from downtown to MLK Jr. Park. But any amount is welcome.
