Chico youth organizers have taken on the responsibility of responding to the grievous decision by the Ferguson Grand Jury to not indict the police officer who shot and killed un-armed teenager Michael Brown by organizing a protest. The event will take place at 4:30pm on Saturday, December 13th at the downtown plaza. We encourage the Chico Peace & Justice community to come out in support of these young activists and to find community in grieving and processing the realities of the social injustice enacted by our criminal justice system.

Want to make a sign for the protest? Join us at CPJC (526 Broadway in downtown Chico) on Saturday, December 6th 12:30-1:30 for a sign-making party! We will have some materials here, but you are encouraged to bring cardboard/posterboard and pens/paints for sing-making.
