CPJC OFFICE CLOSED 2/16-3/8

This is an exciting time for the Chico Peace & Justice Center and our community of social justice activists and peace makers. As we continue seeking our new Co-Director, we are looking inward to evaluate our strengths and weaknesses, and looking outward to a world full of opportunity for peace and justice work. We are now entering our second month with a single part-time staff person in the office, and we see that in order to serve our community and enter into a new co-directorship, that we need to take time and space for the internal work that comes with positive change. So, we are closing our doors for the next three weeks as we dedicate our staff, board, and volunteer time to ensuring that when we re-open on March 9th that we can offer even more to our community and set out with our strongest foot forward.

During our closure, 2/16-3/8, ongoing events and regular meetings will continue to be held at CPJC. Local events and CPJC activities can be found on our online calendar and will proceed as planned. Staff, however, will not be responding to new requests during our closure as they will be dedicating their time to hiring, training and settling in to co-directorship. Office hours will be closed, phone messages will be checked once a week, and email will be out of service.

We realize that this closure may be an inconvenience to some of our members, and we appreciate your patience as we dedicate the time needed to enter into a new phase with confidence and clarity. We know that CPJC will be stronger because of it and we trust that our community will benefit from that strength.

Thank you to all our donors, our dedicated volunteers, and the peace and justice community for your support! We are looking forward to introducing our new Co-Directors and announcing expanded offerings when we re-open in three weeks. We cannot do any of this work without your support and at this time of transition we feel great gratitude for the strong foundation that is created by your contributions to our work, both as donors and volunteers. We will make great use of the next three weeks and look forward, with eager anticipation, to re-opening on March 9th!
