ANNUAL DINNER: MAKING CHICO A "FAIR TRADE TOWN"

We are excited about this year's event, as it brings together many of the efforts we are all working on to make the world a more peaceful and just place. We expect this to be a sold-out event, so buy your tickets early! You can purchase tickets below using PayPal (below), or you can stop by the center or at Lyon Books (121 West 5th Street).


Evening Progam


Keynote Speaker: Starhawk, committed global justice activist and organizer, is the author or coauthor of ten books, including The Spiral Dance, The Fifth Sacred Thing, and the award-winning Webs of Power: Notes from the Global Uprising. Her latest is Earth Path: Grounding Your Spirit in the Rhythms of Nature. She is a veteran of progressive movements, from anti-war to anti-nukes, is a highly influential voice in the revival of earth-based spirituality and Goddess religion, and has brought many innovative techniques of spirituality and magic to her political work.


Speaker: David Funkhouser, of TransFair USA, will talk about the Fair Trade Town movement happening around the country and the world.


Evening Entertainment


Local singer/songwriter Pat Hull will play his roots/folks originals. And, we'll be honored by Seckund Naychur.


The Menu


Dinner will be catered by the Tchudi family using all locally grown vegetables in season. There will be plenty of food for both vegetarians and vegans!
